Description
In traditional Turkish art, geometrical patterns often represent heavenly bodies and celestial order. For the 'Celestial' special edition fountain pen, skilled artisans at Kilk Writing Instruments crafted these intricate patterns on casted 925k sterling silver. On the cap finial top, the 'Charkifelek' pattern is also known as the 'Wheel of Fortune.' The 12-cornered pattern on the silver band (dodecagon) refers to the complex order of the astronomic zodiac.
The Kilk 'Celestial' special edition fountain pen pairs chatoyant, royal pearl acrylic resin in the cap and grip section with the ivory white of the tapered barrel. The aged, matte sterling silver metal appointments are made of a special alloy and hardened for durability. The #6 size stainless steel nib (from Bock, Germany) is fine-tuned to ensure a quality writing experience. The pen includes an international, threaded ink converter and may also accept international ink cartridges (sold separately).
Each Kilk writing instrument is packaged in a gift box with a magnetic flap and foam cut-out interior. Use the included polishing cloth to clean the sterling silver band.

A beautiful pen! I wanted this pants for quite a long time. It did not disappoint.
This is my second Kilk Celestial from Galen Leather. I love these pens! The resin is so pretty, with great depth and chatoyancy. I got the italic medium nib which I think gives great line variation, but is easier to use than either a stub or flex nib. I already have my eye on a third Kilk (that might be this year's Mother's Day gift).
On top of all that, Galen customer service is great. Customs here in the US messed up, and Fed Ex needed additional info before my pen could be released. Galen had already sent me the paperwork that solved the problem way back when they acknowledged my order. They warned me that Customs might be a problem and they sent me proof that they had already complied with the requirements. I forwarded that proof, and the problem was solved. Would it be better if my government hadn't decided to tariff everything under the sun and then screw up the bureaucratic process too? Yes. But Galen did their part. There shouldn't have been any problem at all. Since there was (through no fault of mine or Galen's) I'm really glad that they made it easy to prove that the tariff had already been paid. Otherwise, I'm sure either I would have had to pay it (again) or Fed Ex wouldn't have delivered the pen.

This pen, with a CSI/Briod nib, is a very smooth writer and so very pretty to look at. It is easy to fill with ink with a piston filler, has very smooth starts and is very well balanced without posting. This is the third Kilk/Galen collaboration that I own. I highly recommend this brand! This pen is in the middle of the picture.
I bought a Kilk-Galen Celestial Fountain pen in Fine with a custom grind. I couldn't be happier. Absolutely top quality product. Immediately inked it with Chocolate Private Reserve and was blow away. Smooth, juicy, and a perfect European fine writing nib. I already want another. I did have issues with it being delivered because of customs but Galen answered every email I sent them and they hounded FedEx till the got it to me. The FedEx package was utterly destroyed when delivery was made and it was open but thanks to Galen protection of the items everything was okay. This is my first time buying from them but won't be my last. They even include a thank you letter. A+ 10/10 company. Brad, Seattle WA
This pen is stunning, well designed, balanced (I prefer unposted) and is a joy to write with. I went with a custom medium italic. I recommend getting one.
I really like the resin’s Kilk makes. 90% of my pens are black because I just generally consider most non-black pens gaudy. Kilk is one of the only pen makers that is an exception for me. The trim is nice, adding a little weight without impacting the balance in hand. The pen body is long enough to hold without posting. The nib is nice to write with, my previous Kilk had a Bock nib, this one has a Jowo. I got mine with the fine italic grind and enjoy the subtlety of the grings line variations.
The resin, in person, has more brown and shimmer partlcles than I was expecting. The dramatic orange of the online image is absent. I have seen more images online that resemble mine than the orange one on the galen website. It is still beautiful but if you are buying it for the orange consider this difference
The Kilk Ocean Cenote pen is gorgeous to look at with the colors of navy blue, bronze, moss green, brown and gold all swirled together. It has a wide bronze band just below the cap that matches the clip and insignia on the top of the cap. The nib, which I ordered in CSI/Broad, glides crisply across the paper, leaving a smart trail of ink letters as formed by the individual using this instrument. It is a pleasure to write with and I highly recommend purchasing this pen. It’s my new favorite!
I feel like I am enjoying a work of art as I hold this pen. The colors, the swirls, the metal work, and the extra 14K nib I added. This is my first Kilk pen and I will look forward to adding another. A word about Galen Leather, SUPERB! What a joy it is to be able to work with a trustworthy company which responds its customers questions and problems with personal attention. I don't own everything Galen makes, but I'm working on it! 🧳

The Kilk & Galen Celestial fountain pen is gorgeous! As for the Dentist nib, it writes very smoothly and when you get the hang of it, it writes from fine to medium to broad: a true delight!

Shipping
We ship worldwide. All items are sent via our shipping partners UPS/Fedex. Your items may need to be signed for upon receipt.
Due to security reasons, we cannot ship to PO boxes.
Some items are ready for shipment in our workshop, located in Istanbul. In stock items dispatch within 6-7 working days after payment has cleared using our shipping partners, UPS & FedEx. If the item is not in stock, then we will need to make your order.
Deliveries to USA addresses will take 3-4 days. For the UK and Europe, 2-3 days. To Australia, 6-7 days. For the rest of the world, expect a maximum of 7 working days. Plus production times.
- Buyers are responsible for customs duties. There are no additional taxes for goods being delivered to the USA.
- European Union : New rules after 1 July 2021; we charged VAT for orders up to 150€. It means no hidden or extra customs fees during the delivery. Orders more than 150€ subject to customs same as before.
